About Musholm<\/h1>\n

Musholm is a Danish aquaculture company specialized in\u00a0trout\u00a0farming.\u00a0Main products are frozen trout and trout roe.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
The\u00a0production covers the full life cycle of the trout from\u00a0the\u00a0eggs\u00a0in hatcheries\u00a0and smolt in land-based fish farms to large trout in sea farms.\u00a0The trout is\u00a02 years freshwater and then moved to the sea in spring and harvested from\u00a0October\u00a0to December.<\/div>\n

In 1979 Musholm established\u00a0the\u00a0first sea farm\u00a0in the Great Belt.\u00a0Today hatcheries and\u00a0land-based\u00a0farms are situated in Jutland and\u00a0the\u00a0sea farms in the Great Belt.\u00a0\u00a0Processing factories and head office are located in Reersoe and Korsoer.<\/div>\n

Our largest sea farm, \u2018Musholm Vest\u2019, is ASC-certified since 2016. Musholm is also developing Science Based Targets for Nature as part of a global NGO-driven initiative.<\/div>\n

Musholm A\/S is part of Okamura Foods CO., LTD.<\/a> with full ownership since 2019.<\/div>\n

The\u00a0business relation\u00a0was established in 1990\u00a0with\u00a0the first contract for export of trout products from Musholm\u00a0to Okamura Foods.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Japan Salmon Farm,\u00a0a\u00a0subsidiary of Okamura Foods, established\u00a0a full-scale\u00a0aquaculture\u00a0production in Aomori in Northern Japan in 2017\u00a0based on export of fish farming technology\u00a0and other\u00a0Danish\u00a0equipment from Musholm.\u00a0This\u00a0transformed Okamura Foods from being a major salmon and trout roe processor and fish\u00a0distributor\u00a0into\u00a0a fully integrated aquaculture\u00a0company and\u00a0Japan\u2019s biggest trout farmer.<\/div>\n
